The History Museum welcomes its visitors in a recently refurbished building, constructed in a neo-classical style, at the beginning of the 20th century. The building has two storeys (ground floor and upper floor), 27 halls, and its rooms are placed symmetrically.
Based on the pre-1989 idea that the structural frame of a museum has to bear a strong, visible influence of our historical past, the main exhibition in the History Museum was designed as a description of the local history, combined with the national history. From a thematic point of view, the focus was set on certain fundamental aspects, underlining the on-going persistence of the Romanian spirit on these lands, over multiple centuries.
The History Museum is only a 10 minute walk away from the hotel.
